Throughout my life I’ve been dealing with certain types of health challenges – sensory processing disorder; ADHD symptoms; migraines; chronic fatigue; fibromyalgia; pain; inflammation; digestive disruption; leaky gut; inability to absorb and utilise nutrients; IBS; insulin resistance; chemical sensitivity – especially to smells; dizzy spells; anxiety; depression – yet I always felt there HAD to be a cause that could be corrected and always knew I didn’t want to ‘manage’ my symptoms with medications that have their own side effects (including more depression, suicidal thoughts, weight gain, loss of libido, fatigue and more).
I researched and tried a number of different modalities, including: yoga; meditation; avoiding / eliminating certain foods or food groups; acupuncture; hypnotherapy; spiritual therapies; red light laser therapy; naturopathy; chiropractor; physio; hydrotherapy; and more.
Each new ‘thing’ I tried lead me closer and closer to the real answer – chronic stress. So I've been dedicating myself to finding ways to effectively heal from our chronic stress, some of it we've been holding onto our entire lives.
And this is the foundation of what following the Root Cause Protocol (RCP) is about:
· Returning our healing power to ourselves
· Recognising the real cause of our challenges – trauma, chronic stress and subsequent mineral imbalance
· Recognising that we need to heal on BOTH the physical AND the emotional levels
· Recognising that ALL symptoms are just that – symptoms.
If we were to focus solely on working towards healing our physical bodies and failed to work on our emotional issues, we would not achieve full healing and would continue to have health challenges.
Likewise, if we focus only on the emotional challenges – we would achieve significant improvement yet mineral imbalances, caused by our physical bodies having to deal with the ongoing stress over a long period of time, are only able to be corrected by adding the correct minerals, in the right way, into our bodies.
To determine the extent of your mineral imbalance we use two types of test analyses. We use the Hair Trace Mineral Analysis (HTMA) testing as well as a particular type of blood test, referred to in the RCP as the ‘full Monty’ blood panel. I am authorised to arranged this testing for you and trained in the analysis of your test results.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping is promoted by the RCP as it is an incredibly powerful and useful technique that provides wonderful results. Other ways to release the stored emotions are: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming); The Body Code and The Emotion Code; Vagus Nerve exercises; meditation; yoga and others. I am adding some of these techniques to my collection of modalities so that I will be offer different techniques for dealing with the destructively held emotions.
Laughter Yoga provides an outlet for pent up stress being held in the body. It is a fantastic method for freeing ourselves in the knowledge that we really can laugh anywhere, at any time, without a reason to be laughing.
I have trained in Trauma Aware Mindful Movement, Yoga for Trauma Release and I am now currently training as a Dru Yoga Teacher so that I can work with you, using the principles of mindful movement to aide the body in further releasing pent up 'stuck' emotions. I can offer private one-on-one sessions and also small client group sessions.
